Careful, you might confuse some of the idiot locals (like myself). There's a town just up the rode from Denver called Nederland. Anyways...good bike shops. Wheatridge Cyclery is a good one, and pretty big, and local (e.g. it's not a chain).....I'm sure other people will throw in thier 2 cents as well. Denver Spoke, and (both in town of Boulder) University Bikes and Sports Garage are a few others....

I was just about to say..."WOW some of those Ned folks do, in deed, only come down once-a-year!" It's definitely true for Ward!

    I'll second Wheatridge

Another cool one is Red Rocks in Morrison.

Neither of these are in Denver, but there you go.

...is also a really good shop, it's in the Bonnie Brae (sp?) district, kind of on the outskirts of Cherry Creek. I've started going there and have been VERY impressed.

Wheatridge Cyclery is a good recommendation too.

If you make it to Boulder you could also check out a shop called The Fix.

    Third on Wheatridge Cyclery

There are some nice smaller shops, but Wheatridge has the best selection for side-by-side comparisons.

I bought my Ells Isis from the guys at Singletrack Factory. I was very impressed with the level of service I received, as well as the build quality they did on my bike.

In Boulder, I'd check out The Sports Garage.

Good job! TURIN Bikes by far is the best shop downtown

So what is the best bikeshop in Denver?

If your in downtown Denver, the best bike shop is Turin Bikes.. Hands down.. Wheatridge is a good shop but not downtown. Turin has two of Denver's best bike wrenches and they are all very knowledgeable.. Very surprised no one has mentioned them.. Campus Bikes is a good shop as well over by DU..

Is Boulder in Denver? Excel Sports

    I like www.excelsports.com in Boulder ... but I have a Karate Monkey
... on my back most of the time

    They have a real catalog

And if you are in Denver, Boulder is a short ride/drive/bus trip up 36.

Mojo Wheels has quite a few dirt jump bikes in stock. I dont know what brand you want, but there are several models from Norco still on he floor.

Pick up a copy of the "Westword"...

The "Westword" is a weekly free newspaper with a TON of bike shop ads.

Wheatridge and Turin, as well as the other local shops, usually run weekly ads with addresses and phone numbers.

    Good Luck!

Another vote for Wheat Ridge Cyclery. They've treated me great in all my dealings with them, and gave me a fantastic deal on my current bike. They have good policies and get things fixed fast. And their selection is amazing.

Louisville Cyclery's a good shop but it's a bit of a drive from Denver. Those guys are really good at what they do and they're really friendly too.

Red Rocks?? are you sure. They're never open and there's no inventory, other than that they have a good coffee bar??
