A Day at the Lake

Hit Lake Pueblo State Park yesterday. Conditions where fine, bits of snow but only a tiny bit of messy. Chilly start, but weather became perfect in the early afternoon.

FYI, I did not go up into the canyons (Skull Canyon, Hooters, Broken Hip) so I can't speak for the conditions up in them. They are considerably more shaded then the Inner and Outer Limits and Voodoo Loops.

Winter is setting in so its time to start burning the Pueblo match book, which is pretty full, I have only ridden here twice in the past 18 months. About 95% of the mesa (XC Trails) were snow free while the canyons and slots (DH Trails) had a bit more coverage. Amazingly, I only saw one other biker out on what was a pretty nice day, minus the wind that was whipping from the NW. With that in mind I skipped Voodoo and hit some of the Canyons. I also found some new trails including Inner Limits and The Buttes Trail.
