Dawn Patrol: Copper Mt Friday Dec 3

    Heading up early....

I'll be bringing my Telemark gear, Alpine gear, and ice climbing gear.

Plan A is Copper, plan B is Winter Park.
The rest of the plan is to go directly to Estes park to ice climb Saturday.

    Anyone?

    Ice climbing is for loonies!

I used to spend some time rock climbing but ran out of partners. Ice climbing looks cool but...
Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.

Ran out of partners? Not the hard way I hope...

Ice climbing is for loonies like singletrack is for losers, ya?

As far as the ice climbing part goes, I'm along for the ride and the "get out of town" aspect. Last time I went I had a blast, but my hands and arms were like clubs when it was all over. It was all I could do to hold my beer!!

Everyone seems to move away... It's sad, really.

I like my winter activities to be a bit more heat generating. Xcountrry skiing, shoeing, etc. Hanging onto an ice cube seems, well, a little chilly. That's not to say that I don't like gawking at it. Once upon a time I even got invited, but it was cancelled for some reason I don't remember...
