Speaking of similar accidents, does anyone know the status of BMA's mtbmike? I heard he had a serious injury last week. This is what I found snooping on his album.

Jeezus. Looks all of his weight went right onto his knee. Somebody find out, we need to get in touch with him for some moral support.

No, I didn't want to click on that thread when it appeared on Rider Down. Peeps get hurt all over the US of A. I really don't get your point, chillmolly. What, Porchsong doesn't deserve some healing vibes from us, he's whining? I knew the Front Range forum was a tough crowd but I started my threads anyway. Are you saying anybody who acknowledges they're injured is whining? "It could be worse". We all know that. We don't need a lesson in keeping a stiff upper lip from you, thanks anyway.

No ill intent. Sorry if you took it the wrong way. I'm the one who's had the broken ribs the past five months. If anything, it helps me to see others that have been through worse and make it back riding.

Maybe it has to do with my job. I'm a physical therapist, so I see and work with gruesome injuries on a semi-regular basis. Suffice to say, this guys wound is serious sh!t.

I'll go back into my hole and return to being a lurker on these boards.

    Peace out,

    Marcia

No, it isn't about me, MR, it's about the other peeps who listed their injuries on my thread. Porchsong, davec113 and cocavaak weren't whining and I would hate to think that chillmolly was telling them they were. I think you're the one who's easily offended.

Hydrocodone. I've stopped taking my Vicodin and riding. Double whammy withdrawal.

Maybe it's all that hiking that's made him cranky.

I'd take 50 of those flesh wounds over my injury, thank you.

I don't consider mine to be all that bad even.

A man must have enemies and places he is not welcome. In the end we are not only defined by our friends but those against us.

He's walking. Might be back on the bike as soon as next week.
Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.

WOW! I was just browsing your forum, dreaming of all the awesome riding you guys must have out west in the mountains... and I come across a thread about a guy who filleted his leg on a trail I ride 3 times a week here in flat boring Florida! What a wound! I've been riding that bridge without a second thought for months.
