this could be the last ride of the season...

1-3 inches of snow expected here in Boulder tonight...yikes! Where's everybody's last ride of the season in the mountains going to be today?

Are you high boy!?!?!? I guarentee (sp) that this won't be the last time to ride this season. Winter riding is fun...you have to be a bit pickier when you go and where you ride, but it's very doable all year long here.

    well...

my neighbor says I'm hard core, but maybe I'm really only a sissy?

Does this mean that the Lion's Gulch night rides continue all winter? Yikes!

I've been up there in the snow. I don't recommend it so much then, for wheels. Works ok for shoes, and great for boots.
Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.

Sissiness is all relative. Plenty of SS'ers call me a sissy for riding gears, course I set them straight when I knock them upside the head with my 34lbs heckler.

Nah...that'd be more of a pinball style ride in the winter. Devil's backbone for instance along with Green Mtn. are both good places to get the winter fix. I've also ridden white and Dakota Ridge in the winter. One suggestion, once the snow sets in, choose rides where the soil temp will be below 32 degrees, so you're not riding in mud and creating too many ruts. E.G. early winter rides, choose higher up like west mag, where it's cold enough earlier in the year.

s'right. Are we riding on New Year's Day, or what? Homebrew pending, of course. Speaking of which, I cooked up two more batches yesterday: bottled a mock-'Brooklyn Brown', and brewed a mock-'Boddingtons'. Three weeks for the Brooklyn, four or five for the Bod's...

Season? ending? pfffftttt!! I take it that you mean "the season during which we ride our bikes on concrete and fork over cash to the X Games park is around the corner." Season? End? Never.

You ride there? What's the entry fee / hours / days for bikes there now?
