    Cougars in Boulder?

First thing that came to mind was the 29th Street Mall.

Yeah, there is cougars in Boulder. You should be OK as long as you stay away from the bars and don't flash lots of cash.

Wonderful, now I have to worry about being eaten on my night runs on the mesa trail.
I love this sidebar quote, "Do not run or jog, it may stimulate the lion's instinct to chase and attack."

I'm not about to let a cougar stop me from running on my favorite trails.

    Time for this again

I have seen cougars near Hall Ranch....in Oscar Blues bar as a matter of fact.

Also at the Fox theater...I guess they can read.

BTW, the best way to avoid mountain lions is to go in groups, and make sure you are not the slowest rider.

I would almost consider it but the wind chill was damn cold earlier when I took out the dogs. Have fun if you go.

Guaranteed that it's not as cold as Saturday morning when Fry and I were out and that wasn't too bad once we were rolling.

It's 9 F at my house and I just finished a 40 minute run. That is enough exercise for me in the cold.

    Inversions.....

It was in the low 20s at Eldora this morning. And sunny. It was hard to come back to Boulder.

Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
    Where we should go,

    My toes are still tingling.

    Cold?

I once ran ~2.5 miles to the store to pick up a prescription at -40 (yes, that's a negative sign, and no, that wasn't the wind chill, it was the actual temperature).

Partly because cars don't run so well at those temperatures, partly because I wanted the exercise, but mostly so I could brag about it on the internet for years to come, even after I moved to a much milder climate and went soft.

Just got back from the Colorado Springs Cycling Club Full Moon Ride. Me and the Niner enjoyed the absolutely flippin' gorgeous clear skies, huge moon and 11deg temp! My lungs are soooo going to make me pay for that!

Oh....no mountain lions noted! Would have *loved* to been jumped by a Cougar though on the way back riding through the snow...

Yes, I try very hard. It is always fun to be an arrogant braggart on the internet.

(Now at least it is warming up and will be much more fun for running and riding, although I'm going to stay away from the cougar-watching discussion.)
