COS Special Tuesday Night Ride 11/20

What's happening guys?! I know this up coming Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving, but I'm sure there are a couple of you guys that will still be down to ride. I was too sore from climbing last week to go, so I don't know if any thoughts for this week were sounded. I really don't have any ideas, but wanted to get an idea of who might be riding.

We chatted about it last week over some food and beers and I think the vote for this week was Palmer park, but move it to a Tuesday night ride this week since there was some people that had to help with cooking and such and going out of town on Wednesday. So does that work for everyone eles? Or do I get two night rides this week

Hmmm..I could manage Tuesday. Palmer is fine, but I have a request: could we do the 24hr course? I didn't race this year nor last so I have never put the course together. I know there are few road bits and those could be omitted if necessary.

I'm in for Tuesday as it was discussed last Wednesday night. I'm open to whatever trails everyone wants to ride.
Also, Chris you might consider changing the date in the thread title. Typically the Inflexible's night ride thread is posted up by someone who attended the last ride because it's usually decided where and when we're riding then. Just wanted to let you know to save confusion and discomfort, lol. Cheers bro!

I can't make Tuesday. Have fun on the 24hr course. I think my wrist is ok to ride but I have plans that day.

I'm fine with most of the 24hr course, but let's avoid the road sections (and maybe a few others as well--like let's finish on cobblestoned).

We always meet at 6:00 which means a 6:05+ start time. For Palmer Park, we meet on the west side by the bathrooms near the Paseo and Chelton gate. Hope you can make it!

I would not pass up a chance to pedal my bike in the dark in Palmer Park with the legendary Inflexables. I could not, I can not, I should not miss this opportunity.

I went on a ride in Ute today on my lunch and my wrist held up. Too bad I have the girls tomorrow. Think I could keep up pulling the bike trailer? ;-)

Sure! I'm sure you could pull one, and I know Arin would be willing to pull the other .

BTW, I have your light in my car. Ackley is sick with a fever today so I had to pick her up and I'm not at work. I hope to be there tomorrow though.

Hey guys, I'm new to the area and was trying to find when there were some group rides I could jump in. I can't make Tuesday and don't know if I'm ready to do Palmer at night anyway. Would anyone be available Thanksgiving morning at 9 to navigate a couple new guys to the trail?

Not sure on the bike or the route tonight but I have a feeling I will end up on the full suspension so if I feel like sneaking off the course for some play time in the tech rocks I can. But I wont be on the Mal (templeton bike)

I grabbed the Shinobi--I'm not planning on being super fast and I need a break after over-abusing myself on the last two SS rides.

Yeah, that was a great ride! Nick and Brian, you missed the "Inflexables version" of the race course. We cut out the road sections and added in some fun singletrack that was left out of the 24 hour course. We think it could be the new standard PP loop--it was that much fun!

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm going to ride somewhere on Sunday if anyone is intersted. I'm thinking Monument at this point, but could easily be pursuaded into something else.

Great ride for sure, Palmer never disappoints! The weather was perfect, the beer stayed cold and the company was awesome. Love the modified Inflexibles loop too!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my homies.

Bummed I missed out, but my wife was able to get a ladies night out. I can't say no to that. Plus I was able to have fun with little ones. I found out they really dig Chevelle, haha.

Great ride guys! I could have sworn we did more miles than that..I guess they were just gnarly enough miles to feel like double the distance. Adequate social breaks, couple well executed tuck-and-rolls, and lots of dirt kicked off to the trail's edge made for a well rounded group ride.

Shortbus, I mentioned the safety wire fix for your chain guide. I recently bought a pair of safety wire pliers and two gauges of wire. I have been going nuts with it at work wiring every single bleed kit hose, replacing zip ties on rental bikes, and some general shenanigans. It will calm your nerves about your chain guide popping off.

Check out this pinkbike article. The comments are mostly ignorant, but that is usually the case anyhow. I still use zip ties, but there are some plastic zip tie uses that are clearly weak and would be better replaced with stainless wire. Such as any zip tie near your drivetrain, a single zip tie holding two or more hoses/housings, etc. I'm in the middle of overhauling my DH bike and you can be sure there will be no zip ties.

I really like the inflexables loop. Word of caution, watch out when you are following K's lines

SRTB, gonna have to get you to hook me up with some of that! Zip ties are definitely the weak point when using the "c-guide".
Jaydude, You should star in some Kung-Fu movies with moves like that!

I just noticed my zip tie had snapped on my c-guide too. I guess I need to keep an eye on that.
