Colo Springs Wed Evening Ride 7/31/13

Wow, definitely some crazy weather that we've been having! So this week I was thinking that we should ride Pulpit Rock, weather permitting, and maybe have the canyon or Sec 16 as a backup plan.
You guys let me know what you think.

It is a pretty fun place to ride! We will meet at the Il Vicinos near Costco on North Nevada at 6pm unless the weather gets crappy, then I guess we can hit the canyon again this week.

I should be in. Do we want to switch up the backup to Section 16 this week? Maybe a BJ/Section 16 route. Preferably minus momma/baby bear.

Hey I haven't ridden Pulpit Rock either - can I get a quick summary of what to expect? I hope to get out tonight - Wed nights seems to be difficult but I'd like to try.

    Thanks!

That is, unless we do that trail above the campus...

we could do the alternate line behind campus (in honor of the Kuhn, we must!), then the main trail on the bluff above campus, and then even hit the campus flow trail on the way back to the pulpit area... lookin forward to this one no matter where we ride!!!

Ran into Becca yesterday at Palmer. Good to see friendly faces. I'm in for this one. Rode Elk, Barr, Ute, Fire Road to the Cog, and back to our pick up in Manitou this morning. Absolutely Awesome!!!

That little freeride section you have to hike up in Pulpit is mucho fun. Hiked up it with the bike on my back and the last thing I expected to hear was freewheel at top from two DH kids. Good fun.
P.R. Extreme for you folks on Strava.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again tonight.

Rumor is they built a jump line on some ridge.
    Have yet to find it.

How long is this ride? 1hr, 2hr, 3hr? I'm heading down to the Springs tonight to hang with the lady friend, and told her I'd be done with my bike around 8pm. I planned to get lost in Palmer for a few hours, but this sounds like it might be fun. I should be arriving at the 6pm start time.
