A cold snowy day ride in Ute Valley

Borrowed a friend's Mukluk yesterday to go play in the snow. Fun stuff. A slower paced ride, but it matched the peaceful quiet of the snowy woods.

I rode on my lunch in Ute today. I saw the fat bike's tracks all over. It was a fun snow ride except my 24 Hours of COS hat fell out of my pocket somewhere on the trail.... It would be fun to try one of those bikes. How did you like it?

It was fun, but I'm not as taken as my friend who lent me the bike, but I did really enjoy the bike.

I was running 10psi in the rear and 8 psi in the front!

A lighter bike with some suspension (front) and a bit of give in the back would make it really amazing! Say, a Ti fatty? Or even a properly laid up CF version? There's a FS fatty that just came out, but I think that'd be overkill.

It's only my first "real" fatty ride and just the second ride on the bike, so not much to go on. My buddy loves them - he has 3 - and rides them year round. Sand, trails whatever. Maybe after a couple more rides, I'll put one on my list of bikes I need to get!
