I road Chimney Gulch at about 7am on Feb. 1 and the conditions were really good. The South facing portions of trail are 95% dry with the remaining being muddy during the day (lots of rutting) but frozen in the morning. The North facing slope is snow/ice covered but with good traction available. Once you pass windy saddle the trail gets to be entirely snow covered and pretty icy. Its still rideable but its tough to keep traction now and again. If its done in the morning it should be a good ride with no ruts created.
