    Captain Enduro Race - information

    The Captain, June 8 and 9, 2013
    Enduro

There has been some feedback on the race FB page to post some information about the race here on MTBR. (www.facebook.com/thecaptainrace)

    Quick description:
    Day 1-
a.m. Enduro in N. Cheyenne Canyon (Pipeline to 7 Bridges)
p.m. Palmer Park Enduro (4-5 short distance sprints ranging from fast and flowy to rocky and technical)

    Day 2 - a.m. Enduro in N. Cheyenne Canyon (St. Mary's Trail)
with after party at Bristol Brewery.

Totals: 14+miles of heart pounding, skill testing, super cool racing!

Shuttles: Both segments of the event in N. Cheyenne Canyon include a shuttle up Old Stage Rd. out of Colorado Springs to drop-off points where riders will meander to the start-lines at their own pace.

Timing: Total time is kept from race to race and start order will change in conjuction with total time leading to a mixed field of men and women competitors. Only decending times from start-line to finish-line are kept.

Helmet and gloves required; knee, elbow, neck and other protection strongly advised. You've been warned, now it's up to you to ride within your skills and be protected for spills.

USAC One-Day Waivers will be available for $5 at Packet Pick-up, or riders may prepay the $5 during online registration and fill out the paperwork at registration.

There will be a map of the Palmer bits posted on the event website, once that's up and running. For now just know we've got 4-6 tracks that the Parks Dept. said we're cool to use. All start on the bluffs in a couple different places, then rip across twisty trails to flowy downs or rocky/techy decending lines.
