Buffalo Creek riding
I have only been to Buffalo Creek once years ago and remember it being awesome riding. Planning on checking it out again on Tuesday. What is a fun, longish (20+ miles) loop out there?
Start at the ranger station... up 543 to Shinglemill to Morrison Creek to 543 and turn left... up to Gashouse to Homestead to Charlie's cutoff to Sandy Wash out to your car. Right around 20 miles and a blast. Did that ride yesterday and had a blast.
Park at Pine Valley.
-Up Strawberry Jack to Homestead.
-Homestead to Charlie's Cutoff
-Down Charlie's Cutoff and down Sandy Wash (OH MY, yes I said "down")
-Up 543 to Baldy
-Up Baldy to Miller to Homestead
-Homestead to Skipper
-Skipper to Buck Gulch and down to the parking lot.
That's about 21 miles.
You can also add Shinglemill and down Tramway. Or you can go up Shinglemill to the CO trail and back up Gashouse. Then you're talking near 30 miles, but that's the best bang for the buck.
So that's where ya parked.

Had to be at least 5 miles or so.
