    Bolt on skewers

Any one using bolt on skewers on an aluminum?
Any thoughts on them compared to quick release?

I had one on My Azonic Eliminator. They work Awesome! But I've now converted to 10mm TA.

I've been using them for the last year or so. I just switched the front from a bolt on back to a quick release with a QuickNuts end on it.

I like them because they are secure, but got tired of busting out the allen wrench to get the wheel on or off.

slower, but not too bad. i used them on my old QR dropout fork; it did stiffen things up a bit, and felt more secure (probably only in my head) than a regular QR.

cheap and easy way to stiffen the front/rear a bit. not sure if it makes a huge difference, but it can't hurt.

tip: make faster loading in/out of your truck or car by keeping a 5mm allen in there. i always left mine floating in the back window are of my car, then i never had to hunt fort it while loading or unloading the bike.
