    Bobcat or bust!

Woke up at 4:30 am Sat.& unable to go back to sleep, so I made up some breakfast, saddled up optimus, and headed out for a ride from my house in Windsor to Bobcat Gulch. Heading north/looking south west. More sheep than a BC ride West on dirt. PBJ meets path. Geese.

Up and over Michaud into Lory. Was good to run into, and meet Sgltrk(bombing the s.t. in middle pic) out for a morning spin.

    a little rd to Bobcat

Broken chain, but I'm so quick I fixed it in record time. Too bad I forgot to thread it thru ft deraileur-doh. Broke /fixed chain again, and started up fireroad climb while fishing pieces of poptart from my pocket.

    To Loveland

to watch Lew work his magic for a bit before heading home, and aquire a much needed bump of some yummy coffee(the coffee tree has some good beans), and to give Optimus a squirt of Lube for the last leg.It was a good loop that left me smiling and eating all thru Sunday. Have a good week all.

Yo, shoot me a PM anytime you head out on rides like this. I hook up with ya when you pass through FC.

I got out as well yesterday for 5 hours on/in Blue Sky, Lory, Horsetooth, and some dirt roads.

Why does everyone feel obligated to take a photo looking south from the Arthur's Rock Toilet?

It was a fun route for sure. Did pretty much the same route, but in reverse direction a few wks back, and it was sweet too. Can't decide which way I like best, so I'll have to alternate them No idea on mileage, but I was at about 8hrs pedaling when I got to Rocky Mtn cyclery in Loveland w/ a few breaks to shed some layers, let other users pass, fix a chain, and get a few obligatory shots. Did you make it up to Hewlett, and could you see anything from fire up there if so?

    I'd never do that.

    Twice.

Your epics always leave me wondering why i tend to ride the same trails over and over... I gotta get up north sometime, maybe even to see you on a geared bike!
Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.

I haven't been working at Lory much this year, so I didn't know the exact location in your post. Then Jeff gave me the hint with the drainage dip.

We should hook up for a ride, if I don't go to Nevada for a design project.

    Very nice Migz.

Note to self: never have shoulder surgery again immediately prior to a dry & warm autumn.

Your pix & the weather are killing me.

    Nice ride Migz!

Surgery is best done in January--this trail is usually not available in November ..

    I hate you

With any luck, I'll be released to pavement & dirt roads in 5 more weeks. Full release on Feb 24. Still planning on logging 20 days on the slopes and being 100% by spring.
