Biggest competitive cycling event in Colorado?

Fort Collins UAR is tomorrow - almost 1000 riders.

Next weekend is the Denver Urban Assault Ride - currently at 1300 with a sell out number of 1500.

Are there bigger competitive cycling events in Colorado?

I believe the Elephant Rock has about 7,000 cyclists. Although, I am not sure how many are entered as a competitive event. They also have a 24 hour race and I believe this year they did some sort of short track racing through the downtown Castle Rock as well.

It was a pretty well attended Criterium. Good race, good course! It will get more popular in years to come (I'm sure).

Based on what I see, the biggest competitive event is the Boulder bike path morning and evening commute. Lots of Cat 1 bike pathers out there.

For a true competitive event, not a recreational ride, Leadville is probably the biggest. 1600 last year, maybe more this year. I am not aware of any other true bike race anywhere that starts an entire field that large all at once. By the time the field hits the first climb the peloton is a mile long. It is quite nuts.
