    Because...

For no other reason than I thought they were cool as hell and I've been salivating over them for quite some time.

Thanks Larry for putting up with my Bart Simpson antics (are they in yet?).

Sure it's a damn good and light wheel, but that wasn't my intention. I just had to have it and yes, in that color.

Besides, i'm turning 45 in a couple of days, Gots to have da bling to cover up for my lack of skillz!

Nice! I used to live 30 minutes from their shop in Asheville, NC. Besides being blingy they are damn tough wheels. Don't ya think a wheelset like that needs a Ti cassette though

I agonized over that for a bit. I was going to pull the trigger, but then I said to myself, "self, a pimp has to have some limits", Can't be too flashy. Besides, it's red. I don't want to go that fast and it matches my hair. That's why I hate wearing red jerseys.

Duh. Now I see the pic. I thought it was the one with the red star thingy on the back. I didn't know if was gold! Hmm... I need to search the interwebz better.

    I love mine.
Individual spokes are kinda pricey though.

actually through the power of the interweb I edited my comment. You were thinking right, I orginally posted the PG990 and it does have the red carrier. I changed it 5 minutes later to this sweet gold plated Ti cassette that I thought would look way swanker

I think mine were somewhere in the $800 area. I think if you stay with one of their three regular colors it's less. It was all part of refreshing the Yeti. Pushed, shock, fork, and new wheels. It's like a brand new rig!
