I agree, bad excuse, someone kept me up until 1AM and I'm still going to the gym!

No comment on the other statement...

Alright I believe ya, since I was likewise attempting to sleep when $ally Hu$tle "caught" me viewing this thread an hour after I posted it and went to bed...

That list can be pretty inaccurate since there is a cookie delay. If you're gone fore a certain time period, your cookie expires and you disappear from that list. At least that's how it's supposed to work. Logging out, instead of just closing the browser should clear the cookie, unless you've told your browser to clear cookies on close. So if you don't want your friends ridiculing you for being online at all hours, please, just log out.

Speaking of cookies and stolen identies, go view your "bbUserData" cookie. It has your unencrypted email. There's also one titled "bbpassword" that has an encrypted value. It's probably not a very tough encryption to break though since web security is not a priority for MTBR or most sites; bikes are, right? With a little XSS, which MTBR does not prevent against, a hacker can grab your email and password. Then they can take as much time as to break your password as they need, since you don't even know your been compromised. Once they have your password and email, they can start testing it against other sites in your browser history, maybe your banking site, hoping that you use the same password across multiple sites, which most people tend to do. See where i'm going with this? I will never do something like that, my job is to code against this kind of stuff and clearance to watch after, but please people, at least use multiple passwords across your favorite websites, especially meaningful ones like banking sites.

I think this has already been discussed, but I just wanted to throw it back out there so people will start taking notice at how easy it is for hackers and become active in small, but meaningful security measures... like changing your dang passwords and clearing your cookies and history.

I'm on that list and I was a victim of insomnia last night but I guarantee I was not on the computer and logged in to MTBR. My account stays logged in unless I actively log out so that "current active users" list probably is just counting people who did not actively log out.

Probably the only one who was actually actively on MTBR at that time last night was......YOU FT.

But for serious, thanks for the heads up on the password mumbo jumbo, I really don't want SkaredShtls stealing my identity now that he is no longer who he is, apparently.

Lucky you there was no ranger around. You could have been arrested. But in case you plan to do this again... let me know - I'll bring the camera for some pike born. The MTBR community will judge if you without layers is awesome.

I do need one -- I'm still trying to figure out if I can get there, tho!. I'm moving out of my abode due to the owner not paying his mortgage (I was paying my rent -- wt...) and Friday and Saturday are the only two days I've got to move since I'm back at work on Sunday! What a pain in the @$$! I'm gonna really TRY to make it -- but I'm not promising....
