    Apex Update

Rode some of apex yesterday, apex up pick-n-sledge and down grubstake back to pick-n-sledge and return to the lot.
Pick-n-sledge, only had a bit of snow in the trees on top, passable if not rideable.
Grubstake was a mistake, too much snow required more walking than I was interested in.

No issues with the infamous Apex shuttle crew.

You can shuttle it all you want, just don't ride down fast. And if you ride up, you still shouldn't ride down fast.

Wow, I think that summed up about 2 dozen threads from last summer

Last week I saw a mountain lion wearing armor and a full face, stringing a clothes line across the trail!
Since when did Need have anything to do with this?

I rode about the same route on Tuesday, though I turned around at the top of Pick'n'Sledge having made the mistake of trying Bonanza around the same time last year. On the way down I did have an encounter with what might be the "shuttle crew," though in this case they were pushing up P'n'S

A trail thatís too difficult wouldnít exist because itíd never be used. But, trails can exist thatíre too difficult for you.

I think it's cool as long as the sum of the front and rear suspension multiplied by the tire width is less than the diameter of the wheel. Otherwise, hangin's too good for them.

I encountered just a few hiker/runners, but as I was packing up at the lot, a group of approx 20-25 were on the way up. it was kinda funny, there were going thru intros before they started, "Hi, my name is Kelly and I plan to do 6 14ers this year".

I kinda knew I was tempting fate with the shuttle comment.

Does anyone know if platforms or clips are better for shuttling Apex?

Bikes work best. Horses are not too bad. But boats suck.
