Anyone heard of Manitou Bikes bike shop?

I used there online store to order something, and I have reason to believe they dont even exist. Everytime I call there number it's recorded message. The emails i've sent, have not been returned.

    Manitou Bikes

Supposedly this is where they are located. The sign on the building says for lease.

I have stopped by there awhile ago, it is a "community type" shop with odd hours. I'll swing by tonight and see if they are still in business!

Do some searching around here before making any purchases. I've never heard of them before reading a thread on the 29er forum (I think) and there weren't a lot of positive experiences with their online sales.

Like I say, I've never been there, nor have I had any dealings with them so I don't mean to throw mud--just make sure to search around first.

I normally dont buy from stores that don't have history. But I made an exception this time. I should have searched and found out the lousy reviews this place has gotten. I just hope I receive my stuff now.

    Website is gone

Don't expect to get your stuff. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get credited for charges they made on my card without having shipped anything. I tried for 2 weeks to talk to someone or get an email answered from the shop. No luck. The phone number on my credit card statement was for Pedal with a Purpose, some Mormon outfit in colorado. This whole thing is a scam. The manitou website is now nowhere to be found online. Hope that guy gets caught. Seriously illegal.

I ordered a bunch of lights from them and it took 2 weeks, but they came eventually. Since they ended up costing almost half of what they do at my local bike shops, I was happy with that. Like some other user posted, my invoice and receipt was from an organization called Bikes for a Purpose.

5 days ago I tried to place another order with them and their checkout program wasn't working correctly, maybe to my benefit. I sent them an email and have not received a response. I was going to try again today but the website has disappeared. Very strange indeed. It's too bad though since their incredibly wide variety of custom parts, colors, and low prices is impossible to find at other shops.

I have been near their shop twice during their posted business hours, but each time they were closed.

    Apparently, unsustainably low.
