    AntiEpic Gravel Grinders

Anybody ride these last year, and if so do you have a tire width recommendation for a gravel grinderish bike? Thanks.

I can't speak to last years Anti, but I rode in both the Pedal50 and Greenland Gravel Grinder in the fall of last year. Same area/roads for both. (I'll be in Anti50 this year)

I'm outside the norm as I run 2.1 Kenda Slant6 tubeless on my Fargo. The Fargo allows all but the fattest of rubbers.
I like the comfort, control and traction of something bigger for a day in the saddle. You never know what the road will be like on the day of.

On that note, I also own a SS Nature Boy with MSO 40's and I wouldn't want to ride anything narrower out there. 'I' being the key word. There was everything from 32 road
tires to 2.4 mtb tires and everyone had fun last year.

April is the key card in this whole equation though.... Who knows what the weather and conditions will be like, but Ben Welnak from Riding Gravel puts together a hellu'va route
    out there.

Hope this all equals some sort of help to you

Thanks. I was contemplating the MSO 40s and you just confirmed for me that I will be riding a pair of those.

    AntiEpic Gravel Grinders

I did the 160 a couple years ago. I ran vee rubber 29x1.75 tires on a cx bike. Heavy, but comfortable - nice to have all that volume. Mostly used these because I decided to do the race with 2 days notice, they had a pair in the shop and they thought id be happy with them, which I was. Lots of washboards year I did it, smoothed that out a bit. Didn't seem like gravel was all that sharp. Winner rode a 29er hard tail. Several of the faster riders got flat tires. Not sure if they were pinches, punctures or slices.

I still have them and will probably throw them on again if I do it this year.

I rode the 2 gravel grinder events on 700x23s. Bit of a handful, but made up for it on the road sections. 700x25s probably a better choice.
