Yes it sucks around here. Everybody should ride somewhere else.

Nice photo, is that the Dowdy Draw descent? It looks different all green and during the day. I usually ride it at night.....

Great, now I'll have Depeche Mode stuck in my head for at least the next 7 minutes. Awesome shot, though... I like your style.

For those of you "new" to the forum Lidarman has been doing this stuff since forever. He can always be counted on to deliver stellar photography, just that he seldom makes an appearance these days. When he does, well...

I'm guessing that's the backside of Picture Rock (Wild Turkey?) looking east.

Yep, that is definitely Doudy Draw.

Great photo Lidarman. The green countryside makes our rides even more scenic right now.

I thought according to the peanut gallery of this forum, everything about Boulder is odious. What gives?

It is. Those photos have been staged with lots of photoshopping.

You definitely deceived me with the title! I sure do miss riding Boulder! Been about a year since I moved. Gotta love Boulder/Golden/Lyons! Nice Pictures.

So a question for the peanut gallery. In this photo the rider is going to the left. I suspect 99.9% of people ride to the left that ride here. I always do. I've started thinking lately about finding a line to the right to take a couple of seconds off my descent and to spice it up a bit.

The photo makes it look easy but it's a bit more intimidating in person... So who rides to the right down here?

tight little switchback though. and not sure i'd want to drop it straight (is it possible without epic skills?).

    errr....never mind.

messed around there for a bit this afternoon.

took about 20 tries, but i cleared the switchback on the left side going up on my SS 29er. tough move in the middle of it to get over the second rock in the middle of the tight right turn.

did the middle-left straight shot (to the right of that guy) going down pretty easy....no chainring smash.

did the middle-right straight shot which is a bit harder, but not as much of a drop.

and did the switchback line down as well.

pretty happy with that....i think switching to a 680mm bar the other day helped. one of those things where you look at it (often) and psych yourself out a bit, but do it once...and it seems rather easy.

Bagwhan, Tagged due to ignorance about photoshopping versus taking actual high dynamic range photos taken and processed. The eye adjusts as it moves around a scene. Hy-Dy photophos capture it, but don't simulate it. it's the new generation of photography.

hate all you love to hate.

just kidding. Thanks for the joking.

holy **** some of you people need to get a life. A completely obvious joking post, with no shred of seriousness at all (I live in Boulder FFS, and have lots of positive and negative things to say about my town), got me one add to my rep with the following comment: "Sarcasm or not your post holds truth. +1" and one minus to my rep with the following comment: "Joke or not, your tone is thumbs down. I do hdr but no photshop. There is a big difference between alterataion and catpturing what the eye can really see."

Really? I mean, really? WTH is wrong with you people?

I got your humor. It must be the heat, people's brains are getting addled. Remember when we thought it wasn't going to stop snowing?

I am tempted to give you negative rep because I just moved away and am really missing BoCo trails.
