I am sure that there are facebook clubs or groups that would be an effective means to get the word out. There's BMA for Boulder area mountain bikers, maybe they can post it? And maybe you can try to find the local road riding facebook group or groups?

    Bummer. Sorry to hear that.

Have you contacted the front gate to see if they have video tapes of people entering and/or exiting the park?

Can they check credit card records and contact drivers who may have been there during that time period?

Amen. If I caught the driver, I'd be going to prison for a long time.

The title says friday- I believe he was up on sat. possibly a separate incident- in any case that driver did not stop either! What the hell is wrong with people - that is a human life whether you were inconvenienced for a split second or several minutes these people have families and loved ones.

What exactly are we supposed to be looking for? That Daily Camera article is embarrassingly HORRIBLE.

This accident actually occurred on Saturday the 18th. I was at the Rollinsville Grocery when the accident occurred and I called 911 for Rich. I talked to Sue on Thursday.
As I told her, the accident was weird. I saw a blue work truck cross the road from the Rollinsville Store to Rollinsville Pass Road. Approximately 5 seconds later( the truck had already crossed and cleared the road) Rich came down Peak to Peak headed south and right at the intersection it appeared he hit the front brake too hard and landed with a hard thud on the pavement.
I ran to Rich, touched his shoulder and asked him if he could respond. No response. I snapped my fingers in his face and no response. I asked other witnesses if their cell phones worked, no one's did so I ran to the store and called 911. The emergency responders were on scene in no more then 10 minutes and by this time Rich was awake but clearly in pain from a multitude of injuries.
I don't believe the truck that crossed the road caused the accident and I stressed this to Sue. It was an unfortunate accident but I do believe it was that, an accident with a single bicyclist involved.
I wish Rich a speedy recovery and a quick route back to riding bicycles.
