    8/28/07 Springs Ride

I'm not sure what the weather will hold, but I want to ride something technical. Palmer Park if it's sunny or Palmer Trail if the weather is bad?

K-man, both trail rigs are down at the moment. The Preston is awaiting a new crank arm and the Dobermann needs a very small, but crucial fork nut for the thru axle. I'm confined to the trials bike so I'm out. On the bright side, riding only trials for the last week has opened the door to a few new skills I didn't previously have.
A trail thatís too difficult wouldnít exist because itíd never be used. But, trails can exist thatíre too difficult for you.

I've hopped around Ute on the trials bike before. It hurt. Pedaling the trials bike is like pedaling a pixie - it's awkward, uncomfortable, and makes you feel like you have the endurance of a sloth. On that note, I'm in... but keep in mind that my highest gear is 22:11, so be nice.

Thank you for the offer, Rick. I like the feel of that Burner, but I'm going to pass. I'll just stick to the trials bike and if you guys defect to some trail riding, I'll play on the rocks.

I live right by ute. Can't guarantee from pictures that I've seen that I'll ride the same stuff, but I'd like to meet more riders here in the springs.

If I tell you I am riding this morning does that help

All bets are off for today, looking at the moisture from the tail end of Dean, the NE flow and the dropping temps I am guessing rain around ride time, may not be much lightning though with the cooler temps and the tropical flow.

Now really, like kchri say's you can't predict, not 8 hrs ahead of time, so get out and ride

    Dam,
    Bikes are FUN

I'm in. The free is setup with a single ring for dh right now. Maybe we can combine our gears Nickle! With your 22 and my 36 we'd have a complete set of gears.

Kman- I'm hearing Keystone is closing weekday operations after this weekend, supposedly open next weekend tho, can you make it over the weekend? Shawn and Kurt are both interested.

I confirmed yesterday that they will be open daily through Sunday the 9th, and open Sat-Sun 15-16 by calling their ticket office--where did you hear they would be closed? We have other plans for that Saturday so Friday is my only day to ride.

No one answered my question if we were meeting at the usual place (the parking lot off of Vindicator), so I guess that's where we are meeting.
