Mark your calendars for one week from today.
Looks like a good forecast. Maybe the trails will be dry enough.

Tentatively planning on meeting at Coyote Ridge at 8:00am and rolling by 8:15.

That is easy. Only one turn:

Highway 34 east to Loveland. North (left) at Wilson (K-Mart). Follow Wilson for 5 miles to Coyote Ridge Parking Lot on your left (west side of the road). If you get to Trilby Road, you have gone too far.

Thanks for the info. I googled it and found it just south of the land fill dump area. We have passed that area many times going to Lee Cyclery but never stopped.

Oh dang. I am going to miss it. Last minute change of plans.

Have fun guys I am sure this will be another highly memorable ride. I remember 3 highlights from the past rides: a poem top of Ginny; an elf on the BMX course, a broken fork on Coyote.

    Most likely route:
Coyote > Rimrock north leg > Blue Sky > Indian Summer clockwise > back to cars via Blue Sky > south branch of Rimrock > Coyote.

Might vary depending upon conditions. I Have family commitments starting early in the afternoon, but if you have more time, feel free to keep riding out to DBB or up to HTMP.

This year's attire will be scarves, so ir you have a Christmas scarf, wear it. Just keep it out of your spokes.

You kids have fun without me. I'll be slaving away protecting the city from holiday cheer.

Bummer. We'll miss you. How about New Year's Day, for a resolution ride?

What is the ride status? I did a fly by Coyote, looked OK for a fat bike, tough without.

Consensus is that we will stick to the original plan of meeting at Coyote Ridge at 8 and roll by 8:15. If we are unsuccessful, we will retreat to a coffee shop and make up a story about an awesome ride.

If you were planning on coming from out of town specifically for this ride, we can't guarantee that it will be much of a ride, but we are willing to try it.

This has happened in years past. The year of that xmas card it was 3 degrees and there was about 6 inches of fresh snow. There was a heartfelt attempt at some trails, a bunch of slipping and sliding, a pretty decent bike path tour, and some shenanigans at the BMX track. I seem to remember Buddy the Elf catching some air.
    Good stuff.
