    506 Trail/Niwot Ridge

Hey All - Does anyone know if the 506 Trail starting from the CU Mountain Research Center is open to bikes? Looks like it might be a cool snow bike ride.

    Thanks,
    -Joe

It's open. Can't drop down the singletrack on the other side to Brainard Lake unfortunately, though.

I tried it out last night... maybe I should have waited a day or two. No real tracks to speak of and the warm temps didn't help. I'll go back this weekend, early in the am when it's good and frozen and give it another try. Looks like it could be a fun snow bike route.

I quit after an hour and road the sourdough it was a bit more packed and always a blast on the fatty.
