I saw a story once about a guy who wheelied across the entire US of A. True story. My best was maybe two blocks.

actually I suck at Riding wheelies and cannot ride one for more than 10 feet but I thought it might bring some interesting conversation. that being said, a unicycle is out of the question for me.

I was born with the wheelie gene. And I have a shatteerd wrist joint to prove it. Back in 08' I went over backwards still clipped in and instinctively put my hands behind me to break my fall. The full weight of my body landed on my hand creating hypertension of my hand backwards to where it was touchinhg my forearm. And my wrist joint shattered. In a cast for six weeks, should have been operated on but had no health insurance. And have lost 35% movement and I still have pain if I move it wrong. I started riding wheelies as an,8 year old then for many years on motorcycles. Then back at it with mountain bikes. Not so much anymore.

I think the wheelie gene is nonsense. What it really comes down to is the willingness to practice something over and over (and over). That and knowing the rear brake will bring the nose down if you get too far back.

The other key is to keep a tight core and you can use your gluteals to steer.
