40 in the Fort - Race Photos

For anyone that did the 40 in the Fort race this morning, I've posted photos of probably 90% of the riders to this site:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/4118241...7627154934540/

I was stationed near the top of Sawmill, just above the nasty rooty/rock drop before the switchbacks. These aren't professional shots - just a hack with a point and shoot camera. Great job to everyone that finished. Definitely a tough race!

EDIT: Not sure if you can download from Flickr, but I'm happy to e-mail photos - just PM me.

Not confirmed yet, but I hear Skyler may have won in under 3:50!

Skyler rode by our spot on Sawmill at about 3 hrs 20 min, so 3:50 sounds about right. Second place came by about 3 minutes later. There was a huge gap after about the 5th place rider - probably about 15 minutes. I feel for the slower riders as it was getting pretty hot when I left at 11.

I don't think that's right ... I came in about 6 or 7 minutes after Skyler and got 4th place.

Thanks sgltrak. The Coloradoan also posted a few photos here.
Yep, lap 2 was pretty warm.
Ok, here's the deal. I have a hangover. Who knows what that means?

Anyone have results? After the race I bailed with a bad belly before I could do any serious damage or check results.

IIRC, it was 3:42, but might have been 3:46. I was the guy entering all of the times into the computer, so a lot of the numbers are running together in my head this late at night. Definitely under 3:50. He looked like he could have done a third lap easily.

Sorry, didn't keep a copy of the last printout. My admiration goes out to everyone who tried and especially those who finished.

Also found these, taken at the bacon station, a renegade aid station serving bacon and Coke.

Thanks to the Overland Mountain Bike Club for an awesome race! Also, thanks to everyone who took photos and posted them for everyone to see. This is a great race and I hope that it builds more support from the locals so we get a great turnout like there was for the USGP New Belgium Cup. Just think, Towers could be lined with spectators running along with us and cheering us on, maybe even a friendly push
I'm already excited for next year! Maybe we should have an intermediate race to hold us over till the next 40?
