Does anyone know anything about this race for 2012? Trying to do some planning for next season and would like to include this one. Thanks

Looks like the permit is in the works with the county with a planned race date of 7/7/12 (One week prior to Breckenridge 100).
    Special Event Permit Detail

According to the permit application, the course will change some, as well. Less hike-a-bike and more opportunity for passing on the climbs. Sounds like a lot more fun than last year's course. Tentative course:
    Timber > Kimmons > West Valley > South Valley > Nomad > Towers > Stout > Sawmill > Loggers > Carey Springs > Towers > West Ridge > Wathen > Herrington > Loggers > Carey Springs > Towers > Mill Creek > East Valley.

Very cool!! Still looks like a pretty challanging course. If I'm reading your post right there might even be a little more climbing than last year.

Thanks for the proposed course design Mike. Sounds a heck of a lot better than last year.

I think you're right. Each lap climbs Carey Springs twice and the part of Towers Road from Carey Springs to the Mill Creek intersection twice. If the bacon station is in the same place as last year, that means four times past the bacon station during the race.

Sounds a bit better Mike, but I still think I'm too soft. That said, I did put new grips on my bike setting me up as a frontrunner to win.

Less hike-a-bike FTW. Was a great race this year, but if it was to be the same course, I'd volunteer rather than race it again. With this new course, I'm once again in...

Thanks for the data. Sounds like another good one. Last year was bad ass, hard, but rewarding.
