So I rode up at Winter Park today and managed to lose the M6 barrel insert and pinch bolt from my 303RDH rear axle assembly somwhere on Boulevard. The axle stayed in place but I don't think riding without the pinch bolt secuing the axle is a bright idea.
Has anyone had any luck getting single small parts from Yeti? The parts I need are:
300040380 BARREL INSERT-M6 ROLLED THREAD
300030214 WASHER 9.85 X 6.2 X 1
300030122 BOLT CAP SCKT HD M6X1X18
These are in the 200020155 303 RDh ‘09 Axle kit but their site says that individual components of each Yeti bike are not sold separately. All yeti parts are sold in rebuild kits, etc etc.
I'd like to avoid buying the entire axle assy. for a threaded insert if at all possible. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?
Updated: It turns out the dropout has a hole that runs all the way through to accommodate longer bolts through the insert - so a M6X25MM socket cap screw threaded through and nutted on the other side holds the axle as tight as you'd ever want.
Thanks for the input, folks.
