3 Days of Moab, 3 great rides

Went to Moab last week for 3 days of riding. I thought these three rides made an awesome trip. These rides can all be started from Sand Flats Road where we camped.

Day 1: Porcupine Rim...down and then back up. Finish the day with a lap on Slickrock.

Day 2: Poison Spider to Goldbar Rim. Exit Gemini Bridges area and ride the old highway back to town.

Day 3: Lose the wheelers, motorcycles, and other cylists on Flat Pass/Steelbender. Enter at Ken's Lake and exit closer to town. Cross the highway and hike up Moab Rim to Hidden Valley and exit on the downhill course off CaneCreek Rd.

pm me if you need clarification.

    cheers.

    Any pics?
I need to get back there, i haven't been since college my first and second year of riding. Lots of stuff i haven't done. Its so hard to get out there when Fruita is closer and so diverse. Colorado sure is a hard to place to live, so many good places to ride and so little time. Unfurtunatly i end up going to Hall ranch too much.

    wasting time at work

Two MUCH better ways to do Porcupine Rim.

LPS on it's own is great - I've yet to do UPS, but it links to LPS and then on down to Porc.

hmm, i'll have to take a look on a map i guess...
i did porcupine rim 6 years ago and it still ranks as one of the best experiences i've ever had on a bike (and that was on my hardtail).

i'm riding the kokopelli next month and we end up at porcupine --am really looking forward to it especially now w/ my FS trail bike-- so i guess i need to look into this UPS and LPS (assuming it is identified as that on a map or trail book?).

    thanks.

I'm pretty sure that as you come down to Porcupine off Kokopelli you'll actually be on UPS and LPS. Not sure it's really on the maps.

Here's a map courtesy of bock, bit of an uproar when it was posted but I don't think it's such a big deal now, hopefully no one minds, a lot of peps doing the ride now. Great map BTW.

... and if we just ... exactly

i guess chili pepper has a shuttle now that takes up in to the La Salles and to the start of ups. $15. And for a crew rollin' Turner 5, 2 Nomads, a Faith and a Big hit, you could do that every day
