Hoepfully 2 from C/S will join, although we won't know for sure until it gets closer. I apologize we'll both be O fer on both Bs. I was born some time in the 70s but still can't grow more than a peachstache and don't have a prayer for a beard. Oh, I race in the winter so I'm really hoping to avoid a belly. As far as #2m wekk that's my g/f and really don't want to see her with either B!

Sounds like a good reason to dust off the studs, but the UW Badgers are in the Rose Bowl that day. As UW alumni I have required beer and TV yelling to do at a bar.

Most of the big college bowl games are scheduled for Jan 2 in 2012 (this includes the Rose Bowl).

The NFL takes precedent on Jan 1st - since it's a Sunday.

I'm trying to get rid of the belly. Guess it's time to start on the beerd. Hopefully bringing one out of two is good enough for the ride leader.

What worries me, is that MGE will be alone for 6 weeks. This means he will likely ride everyday for the next 6 weeks, and have a forearm made of steel. ( remember to use the other hand sometimes to keep your arm size balanced ). He will be coming home with an early base of fitness that he will use to crush us.

That being said growing a beard is dam near impossible for me so guess the belly is my only option, I will commit to this drinking fest.
Kip, if you like we can meet on the North side of town, I have a truck that can hold 5 if there are more from the springs.

Heh heh... MGE has an "office stage of his career." Poor MGE.

I have a belly, and I can grow and shave 3 beards by Jan 1 if I start now. I used to ride bicycles, and Jan 1 is as good a time to start again as any...

I'm in for this - Although it would take me at least a year to grow a beard, I may have some shaggy scruff though. I'll work on the belly as it tis the season.

Time on the 1st? I just saw this so am a little late to start growing much of a beard, but I'd love an excuse to get out for a ride (and maybe demo a fat bike ).

There's a good chance I'll make this, assuming it doesn't snow much (it won't). Beard is good to go, not so sure on the belly.

I'm pretty sure he said sirloins for everyone.

I just might have to talk some girls into this one (that is, if we can even open our eyes by 10 am)!!! Seriously, PBRme! a noon start would work much better for those of us celebrating the beginning of 2012!

NO it's staying at 10:00am! Several reasons- main being frozen trails not slush! And yes that way folks can get home to watch tebow . Not sure on the grilling thing- folks want to chime in- there are grills at TH can't afford to feed everybody- if we want to cook out we can bring our own.

Looking forward to a fun ride!!

I've had a few text where to meet- I Posted a map link lastnight.

i don't want to step on any toes but if everyone is up for it, i'll bring a large pot of beef stew... we can heat it up after we ride? can anyone give me a rough idea of how many will be showing? throw a few beers in a communal cooler and have at it? yay or nay?

Sounds great. Me and at least one other are coming. Possibly two more.

That moon lander looks awesome. Took the rented mukluk up to west mag yesterday and the snow was DEEP. Too deep in spots. Super fun though. The tires On that moon lander look way nicer than what's on the mukluk. I think what's on mine would be better for sand than snow- still fun though. I wasnt going far, but I was smilin the whole time

BA- hardly saw ya but 5 minutes before we started, but somehow you created one of the best parts of the ride. Good on ya.

Here's a few shots from the day. Thanks PBR for putting it together. Good to finally meet some of you clowns (not that I really have any idea who any of you are on here ).

What a Great Way to End the Year!!

oh crap- we just began a new year!! you mean this is just the start?! EVEN BETTER!!!!

First off - i want to thank Andy for stocking the beer cache(anybody got a shot of that) (and "the toast") - and packing out our empties! Even though you were elusive and not in the belly shot
*which i will address in a moment

Next want to thank all the snowshoers/hikers who made for phenominal trail conditions!

Big thanks to Terry for my new favorite flask!!

Huge thanks to Scar for my new team kit- seen in pics!

And big thanks to all who came out and had a good time! Great to meet some new folks and see some old ones- and some of us are old!

on to the pics.....i obviously rode and had fun and did not take too many- will try and get some vid put together.

the gathering- my bike always matches the beautiful sky!

2012 Beerd Belly Ride!!! JAN 1-dsc03916.jpg

2012 Beerd Belly Ride!!! JAN 1-dsc03917.jpg

*this is what i want to address- there are some bellies not being shown here- so you are mandatory for showing up next year and there will be some sort of a penalty! (im not kidding) Who is the pregnant one!!?? crap

is ds2199 looking for something other than his belly?!
2012 Beerd Belly Ride!!! JAN 1-dsc03923.jpg

    that was too much fun!
2012 Beerd Belly Ride!!! JAN 1-dsc03924.jpg

Thanks again Terry - a duct tape flask! how awesome is that! now what to fill it with!

again you all are a pretty cool group thanks for indulging in my silly ideas!! Look forward to riding with all of you in 2012!!!!!!
