    Wide rear ends get rubbed?

So, for the big footed folk in the forum, are those of you on 142 or even DH'ish 150mm hubs having chain stay rubbing issues with your feet? In thinking about the geometry here, I would think an 83mm BB might be necessary to keep proper spacing at one's heels.

This dilemma kept me on a standard 135mm rear hub when I recently had a custom bike built. I stayed with the standard 73mm BB shell, and wear a size 52 Sidi/Shimano.

Remember that spacing out the BB is going to potentially create chainline/shifting issues. You've likely already done this, but have you maximized current clearance by shifting your cleats as far inside as possible?
