Where do I buy big boy riding shorts/pants?

6'5" 300 lbs. Just got a 23" Trek GF Marlin 29'er. Have not done any serious riding in 20 years. Don't want to look like a wanna be goober on the trail, but don't want to wear jeans. Athletic shorts are killing my rear end. Not sure what to buy, but something padded would be nice. ha ha... I am curious what folks wear. Mountain biking, casual riding, for exercise mostly. Any suggestions on websites that sell this kind of stuff in 3XL, 50-52" waist, etc... Thanks for any comment.

Aero Tech and Hoss have big boy sizes and they both produce a great product at a fair price.

I am 6'6" 380 with a 48" waist. I wear the Mt. Borah Beartooth shorts. They don't offer them in Borak Plus sizes anymore though. I would recommend (for a better fit) to buy an underliner seperate. I removed mine from the Beartooth shorts and bought another to wear underneath. Much more comfortable. I am looking for another pair but just haven't found anything I like. Aerotech sales a MT.Borah short but I really like the Beartooth design. Clydesdale Cycleworks sold them as well but the site is down for maintenance right now.

I wear underliners (3XL) under just normal soccer shorts... keeps me happy. I am cheap and just bought Nashbar's underliners.... I have been pretty happy with them, especially for the $15 they took from me.

Aerotech and MT. Borah work great. I bought a pair of Hoss's, but the didn't fit till I dropped some weight. Love 2 Pedal's website has stuff up to 5XL I think.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Older thread, read it again just the other day myself.

I ordered from Aerotech a few days back. Got me some liner shorts with the black pad. Got some unlined "commuter" shorts to wear over them. Got the wife some padded capris as well. Should be here any day. Will report back on quality after wearing them a few times. Just glad to find some place to order bike shorts in my size. Rode Tsali in western NC last week. Rear end still hurts. ha ha..

I've got some Cannondale and Garneau liner shorts, and they work great under gym shorts in the summer and any kind of exercise pants in the winter.

Aerotech's website carries the Garneau shorts and such as well. Got our order in today. Nice stuff and fits like a glove. At 6'6" 300 lbs, I rarely can say that. ha ha.. Nice bike shorts and the pad is very plush. Looking forward to using them Mon or Tue.
