What Helmet Fits Your BIG Dome?

I wear a size 8 in New Era fitted hats & im having a hell of a time finding a helmet that fits... I'd hate to buy something like this online, but I can't find anything for my dome in any stores...

Post up what size dome you have & what helmet works for you!

Giro Venti is what I have... I have a pretty big head and it has plenty room.

7 3/4 here, Fox Flux works best for me so far.
Sits relatively low, and doesn't give me the tortoise-head effect (so much).

That's good to hear. I just ordered a Flux today. Hopefully my coconut will fit in it. I just asked about the Flux a couple threads below this one. Good info in here as always.

    You'll probably be OK.
I've got room to spare with my 7 3/4 nogg.
And that's with a doubled up bandana over a halo sweat band, cuz I sweat like a clyde.

Got the Flux yesterday... fits great. Even on my big dome it has a little room. Not a lot, but it fits my head a lot better than the Giro Venti I had.

Seems to fit and touch on all sides of my head. The Giro helmet I had seemed to hit in like three spots and rattle around, even when it was tightened.

The Flux is just a much better helmet all around. Hands down.

I'd love to try these on ahead of time, but the shops around here all cater to peanut heads...

Any other suggestions for the elongated large head?

I wear a Specialized Airforce 3 and it is very comfy. I wear a 7 1/2 - 7 3/4 in hats and there is still plenty of room left in my helmet to go bigger.

giro xen for me. fox flux isnt wide enough. the 661 recon doesnt even sit properly on my head. have yet to try the xar but my other thread on that says YRMV so i have to wait for the LBS to have it, so i can give it a proper fitting.
Let it flow, let yourself go, slow and low, that is the tempo.

I wear a size 8 hat. I wore a Giro Switchblade for a long time and thought it fit well until I got my THE f14. Putting it on takes some getting used to but once in place it fits like a glove.

I wear a 7 3/4 hat, and the only helmet I have found that fits me is an old bmx style helmet. Tried a few bontragers, specialized, and giro. Heard some good things about the Fox Flux, but none of the local shops around here carry them, so I havent been able to try it out.

Those of you who have the Flux, how does it sit on your head?

My hat size is 7 7/8 long oval. The only helmet I could find that didn't compress my forehead is a Trek Quantum XXL. It is actually comfortable and doesn't look too bad after I ripped off the Trek stickers.
