What a difference small changes make

Actually not too small changes... I was hurting bad after short rides and talked to my LBS. The dude looks at my bike, looks at me and says: "we sold you the wrong size bike".

He swapped me from a 21" to a 19", same model - no extra cost. I was pretty happy that they would make it right after their silly-goose employee sold me the wrong size bike.

I also took some advice from the same guy and got a set of Serfas Drifters since most of my riding was on the pavement. The knobby's were making things uncomfortable.

Anyways: I now ride with very minimal discomfort. The right setup and right kind of tires makes a HUGE difference. If you are a newbie like me, don't give up - get your bike right for you.

It sounds like you found a good shop.
