Strongest 700c rims you know of?

My Kona Jake needs some stronger rims!
What are the strongest 700c rims out there?
Can I use 29'r mountain rims?

I believe so, just watch your tire size width wise

For rim brakes go with the Rhyno Lite.

kris holm... but I doubt you'd fit your tires on there...

how wide of tire are you running? I've run a salsa delgado cross on my MTB with out issue @ 300 (both rigid and and hardtail)...

but if you are spending most of your time on the road and using narrower tires it sounds like you can't much beat the velocity deep V

Mavic A319/719 Rims are stout and strong, without being too wide

I run 40c's on it. This is my road/farm road/commuter bike. It does get some dirt road miles on it but no trails.

    Thanks guys

Just built some Rhyno Lites with some 700x38 tires. 36 hole Shimano XT hubs. They are feeling very bullet proof.

I hear great things about the strength of the velocity deep v's... but they are a on the narrow side for such relatively wide tires...

Mike (aka mikesee) at Big Wheels laced me up some Ryhno Lite's with Onyx hubs. I should have them this week. Can't wait!

Got my wheels from mikesee yesterday. Just finished squaring away my brakes.

I can't believe I'm even thinking this? I can not wait to commute to work tomorrow.
    Wheels are so nice.

If you need wheels look up mikesee. From first e-mail to delivery was about a week. I sent a cashiers check to him to boot.

I like the Mavic TN719's - while I'm not really a clyde (under 200) I have beaten the snot out of them for ~400 miles this year and have had no issues. They'd be a good width for the tires you're running too.

Does Velocity make a 700 rim in their Psycho line? That might be a very strong one....
Remember when we were kids and our Mom's said we could not play in the mud? I'm making up for it now!!
