    strongest??

looking for strongest seatpost clamp as my seatpost was sliding and i bought hope qr clamp and it seemed to be working although seat would still slip a little on long rides but yesterday i was tightening up the clamp and it snapped in 2 pieces. going to send back hopefully they will warraty it since it is only 2 months old.
but would like to hear other recommendations for strong clamp either qr or not.

I have a salsa clamp on my commuter. Solid.
I also have a hope QR on my FS bike. Solid as well. No issues there for me at nearly 300lbs.
I would take a serious look at your seatpost and make sure it is the right size.
Look, whatever happens, don't fight the mountain.

Hands down the strongest seatclamp I have ever used is the Surly Constrictor. Have one on my KM

Have salsas on all my other bikes and they are great too.

I have had Hope hubs, skewers and seatclamps over the years and they have all broken. Don't' like Hope.

i'll 2nd the surly constrictor... it's big fat and beefy... reminds me a lot of the seat clamp that came stock on my karate monkey... never a problem... i'd be more worried about folding the seatpost then the clamp.
