New question here. Shin Guard Question

    Hey All,

I was wondering if any of you wear shin guards while riding, and if so what brands have you found to be the best in term of fit and protection.

My issue is that my lower leg is getting tattoo'd up via the pegs in my pedals, and I want to get something to stop that from happening. I've tried high socks (still shed blood), removed some of the pegs (footing really suffered), and am thinking about trying to use a medium size knee brace as a fix (neoprene I guess).

    Any suggestions or etc???

Veggie Wraps I hear work great for that. Of-course I just bought a full out Rockgardn Landing Zone set of elbow and knee/shin guards, but those are hard ribbed plastic. Veggie Wraps seem to look more like a fancy sock, but I have not tried them myself.
    Be excellent to each other.

Fox BMX shin guards work well; Cambria has them on blowout (neoprene wrap with a hard shin plate). Or you could get some soccer shin guards if you want less heat and less calf coverage.
