    Santa Cruz Tallboy

    Gents,

I am getting back into riding after a 10 year lay off. I have been looking mostly at hardtail 29er's. However, I have a opportunity to get a great deal on a Santa Cruz Tallboy. I know this is a lot of bike for someone new but at this price I am roughly equal to the mid-line hardtails I have been looking at. My don't this I need a FS for trail riding in Texas; however, my main concern is me (6'2" 275lbs) riding a carbon frame FS bike. Anyone have a similar experience or thoughts on the issue?

    Thank you,

    FrogFan

buy it. 275 might be up on the top end on the bikes limits but if your riding again you are probably thinking some eight loss. I am 6'3 250ish and love mine. Best bike I have ever had and I have had a few....(7 this year alone ). Just could not find the right fit, until now. SC Tallboy in xl with lefty=

6'5" 280lb here, just broke in my new XXL Tallboy build this weekend; been lusting after it since a test ride last summer. Freaking awesome bike, no issues here whatsoever, including riding medium-sized drops.
