    Pearl shoes vs Specialized...?

I've always used Specialized Comp shoes...nothing else seems to be wide enough for me. But I just realized that I can get Pearl Izumi shoes for super cheap at work. Can anybody give me a comparison of the two brands from a Clyde's perspective, particularly sizing?

I had a pair of Pearl Izumis many pairs ago. I do not have a wide foot, but I remember they were a 49. I wore a 48 in Specialized and 50 in Shimano. Hope this helps.

I really like the Specialized Comps I have been riding for the last 2.5 years. Definitely the most comfortable biking shoe I've ever worn. If you do find the Pearl Izumi shoes to be similarly shaped for us that need a good amount of width in the toe box, please post that info here as it's good to know.

I tried on the pearls and found them too narrow for me. I usually ride shimano m-760 or something like that. My last pair however was a pair of Scott shoes because my lbs carried them, and they are surprisingly comfy. good width and pretty stiff.
