    A New Bonafide Clydesdale

When I first started looking at getting a mountain bike, I thought it was going to be a simple process, however, I soon discovered that the mountain bike process is way worse than the road bike process. I had to learn the difference between a 26 and a 29, the difference in the shocks and to realize if I wanted full or front suspension. I discovered the variety of shocks, handlebars, wheels and seats. Talk about bicycle overload. Then on top of all that, I discovered I was a Clydesdale.....

When I started, I tipped the scale at 285-290 (I am 6'03"), but over time I got down to 261 and now I would like to get to 235. Well I finally broke down and got the Novara Intrepid, which in the end was the bike I wanted. It should be here by the end of the week and I cannot wait!!!!!!

Now that I have a bike I am Bonafide.....

I GOT IT!!!!! Went for my first ride and I really like it!!! The gear shifting took a few minutes to understand, but it is really nice. The brakes work good!!! The bike is not flashy....at all!!! The color is OD green and white....not colors folks want to take....the only concerning thing was that a sticker on the bike stated max weight....250 lbs....scary...

The frame as I find is going to NOT be a problem at your weight of Super Clydesdale ( see Updated Clydesdale Glossery). It's going to be in the wheel-set followed closely by suspension components. But as another warned drop to 229 and we will have to revoke your Clydesdale Membership Card! Lol
