    need stem/reach help

i just bought a 2009 GF Marlin disc (ebay $550) i really like the bike but the reach seems a little long for 5'10" more torso than legs, only 30 inch inseam, however im pushing 300lbs so i need a strong stem that give me a slightly better reach....

Go get a fitting on the new rig in order to get the proper length and angle needed.

for stems a little difference goes a long way sometimes...
this is a neat little toy that'll tell you how much difference it realy makes to change one or more variables on your stem...

i'm one of those who would prefer to buy cheaper stuff till i KNOW what I want... may even find friends with some spares laying around you could try before you plunk down your change for a better stem... the cheaper stuff should be fine for a big dood... but it won't be light weight... but thats not my call (I am however your weight and using some OEM no name stem that came on my bike)

    good luck man
