Minute Expert or Velvet RL2 for Trail Sloth / Clyde

    Hello all!!!

I'm building up a Sette Reken to replace my 1996 GT Backwoods!

The GT has a RockShox Recon Silver TK that I've been marginally happy with. I'm moving it over to my 11 year old daughter's bike to replace the Dart 2 on her rig.

For the Reken build, I'm stepping up to either (I'm thinking) a Manitou Minute Expert or a X-Fusion Velvet RL2.

I'm planning a 15mm axle for the fork, using a set of Mavic Crossrides.

The Reken geometry is set up for 80-100mm travel.

Those two forks should be available in the ~$400 range, and seem to be "clyde friendly"

    I'm 6'2, 245, built like a horse, but a trail sloth.

    Thoughts on fork selection?

I'm your size and I just put a Slide RL2 on my SS and I am very impressed with X-Fusion. I personally would choose it over the Manitou.
