Howto: Make your own Superclyde Grips

    What you will need:

1 complete set ODI lock-on grips (the fatter the better)
    1 set Oury grips
Allen key for the lock-on clamps
    a sharp blade
    strong hands
    a spare handlebar

1.) clamp the lock-on grips onto your spare handlebar.
2.) cut the flange off the Oury grips. you won't need it.
3.) cut the Oury grips into five sections -- O, U, R, Y, and the remainder.
4.) pull each rubberband-like section of hacked-up Oury grip onto the lock-on grips. this is a lot easier when the lock-on grips are already clamped onto a handlebar.
5.) Enjoy your fat, comfortable, Mad Max ugly grips.

You need strong hands to do this, but if you need grips this big, you've probably got strong hands.

But, Oury already makes a set of Lock-On grips. I've been using them for 5 months. They show very few signs of wear- very comfy as well.

Even the lock-on Oury grips are too thin for my hands. My howto is a way to make extremely thick grips -- thicker than most people would find comfortable to use.

I was having a hell of a time trying to pull or unroll Oury grips onto other grips, until I realized I could just cut the Ourys up.

That said, these Ourys-on-Rogues might even be a little too thick for me; I think I will try some Ourys-on-Ruffians next.
