    How Much Weight have you lost Since Jan 1 2013??

    So far this year I have lost 48lbs thanks to taking up biking. I ride nearly everyday and eat better. How much weight have you lost so far this year? Who's lost the most? My current wieght is 260lbs down from 308lbs Jan 1.

    235 START down to 220 as of this morning. Eating better and not riding nearly as much as i would like.

    Goal is 200 even or below

    8 lbs as of this morning. To be honest, I don't really give a damn about the number all that much anymore. It is all about looks and fitness growth for me. When I get down to a 36 inch waist, I don't give a damn if I weigh 190,200, or 210.


    All I know is I've lost more inches than pounds, have gained about 2-3lbs of lean muscle, had to buy some new T-shirts (From XXL to XL), I'm wearing slacks that I have not worn for 5-8 years, my bibs and jerseys aren't as tight in the midsection, and riding longer and faster is getting to be the norm.

    For all the big guys, keep up the good work!!

    Waiting til 1 April. Dont want to get on scale now because most of this week was a "bad" week as I was away to Chicago and food choice got "somewhat" out of whack. lol.

    As of 1/1/13 - Start 273, current 245, goal 220. Riding longer and faster as the weight comes off, the rides become more enjoyable as the weight comes off!

    6'6", started at 237.6, 217 today. Headed for 210.

    January 2 to March 21 I went from 332 to 288. I can't can't wait until it warms up so I can ride!

    I've dropped 10 pounds since January 1st, 2013.

    Weighed in at 184 this morning. Working on losing up to 6 more over the next 2 months.

    Edit: 182 on 4/14 - 4 more pounds to go!!!

    Down to 211.2, 26.4 total. The weather has been basically horrible, so I have not been riding at all. On my commute yesterday, I really noticed a big difference.

    Started the year at 250lbs and I'm currrently at 227lbs. Cut out bad carbs and just being active at least 5 days by either cycling or walking.

    January 1st I was 253lbs now I am 230ish, I don't really have a goal weight but I assume 220 would be a super lean weight for me at 6'5"

    I started Medifast on Feb 21st at 260lbs. As of yesterday morning I've lost just over 40 pounds. Can't wait to get below 200!

    Since January 1 2013? 8 pounds. Go back to January 1 2012 and it's 73 pounds as of today.

    Of course, I'm 5' 6" tall so I had a LOOOOOOOT to lose!
    I live with fear and danger every day. And on the weekends she lets me go mountain biking.

    I am 6' (5'11 1/2" technically, but it's the internet and I will lie)
    Jan 1st 2013: 265lbs.
    April 25 2013: 218lbs.

    Just started riding bikes this year and it seems I finally found something I like that is good for me. Full scale diet changes, sodium under 1600 mg. per day, dairy almost eliminated, more green veggies than red meat, approx. 5 400 calorie meals per day. Supplements and protein powder to aid recovery.

    Goal is to get down to 195 and start weight training. I won't worry to much about weight after that, as long as my strength and conditioning stays up. I'll have burned off most of my goo by then and most of my weight gain from that point will be muscle.

    technically, I've lost 15 pounds, but I've also transferred a lot of mass: legs, shoulders, back & arm muscles are bigger, waist and belly is smaller. I don't have a weight goal per se, but I'd like to get down to 12-15% bmi, which might be another 10-15 pounds.

    Chicago will do that to you. Especially, if you aren't from Chicago. If you are trying to lose weight, and you end up in a foreign place known for hot-dogs, huge beef sandwiches, and pizza, you are goin to have a bad (good....great?) time.

    Edit: I guess I'll stat it up to stay on topic...I only got my bike about a month ago, and I've lost 10 lbs. I have definitely gained a lot of leg strength though, so I'm not sure how my body fat is doing. I look slimmer in the belly for sure. Prior to biking I was a former athlete gone fat. I'm pretty young, and still love the beer. I also enjoy cooking very much so. Butter, cream, and steak, are a staple in my kitchen. I actually got into biking because I hate running, and wanted to lose 20 lbs. prior to going back on a hard core lifting routine. I fell in love with biking though. My initial intention was to not be out of shape. Now, I'm considering training hard for a tri next summer....though I would probably fail on the biking part because I would ride hardtail MTB lol. In the mean time, I'm riding everywhere I can. To the store, to the trail, on the trail, on the path, to the next county. I don't even care. Road, trail, path...doesn't matter...I'm jammin' it on my MTB. Feels good.

    6'2" have dropped 8lbs sit at 208, working on getting nearer 200, love eating too much though so its slow going.

    Good job to all. Dropped 10lbs from 206 to. 196 by taking a month off drinking and riding tons. Think this is a tough point for me to lose more. Goin too take another couple weeks off drinking and try to get to 190..... Sacrifices are key!

    Good one, OP. That's hard work.

    Weight changes week to week, but consistently<\i> I'm about 6kg down from January, which is about a third of what I'm hoping to shift.

    254 XMAS day and now i'm 224! only ride 2 or 3 days a week.....I'll be happy man if i get under 220 by June
