Time to get a new pair of gloves. I like my current Pearl Izumi Elites, although I thought they would have lasted longer. It could be that the foam grips are a bit abrasive...
Anyway, I am curious to hear opinions on others I should consider. No full fingers, please. I am in Florida.
Thanks in advance,
I've had excellent luck with (L) Gore cycling gloves. They are quite durable and comfortable to wear. I tend to buy closeouts on either eBay, Bicyclebuys, Nashbar or Performance web sites.
I purchased a pair of (XL) Pearl Izumi Select Gel gloves a few months ago and I'm not all that impressed with the fit. The half fingers felt too tight in the L but the wrist is too loose in the XL.
The 1 knuckle of exposure really doesn't keep you that much cooler.
Buy a pair of mechanics gloves from Lowes or Home Depot. They'll last as long as you can stand the smell, will function as both riding, trail maintenance and work around the house gloves, come with a snot wipe and will cost you around $10.

I prefer full finger gloves with little or no padding. I use Pearl Izumi pittards with no padding. They don't seem to make em anymore though. Short finger gloves just bunch up after time in between your fingers, and pads never stay where you need them. Don't lean on your handle bars too much
These seem like they might be good: http://www.pearlizumi.com/publish/co...ode-8592.html#
