    Clyde dream ride!

    Clyde dream ride!-image.jpg

Clydetastic! Ventana el capitan front (pike 150 29er)with Zeus rear (27.5 160/140mm). 24 inch seat tube, 27 inch top tube. 7 1/8 inch head tube (one of the biggest benefits of custom for big guys, IMHO). Thing rides like a dream...climbs like a goat, plush like crazy going down, but still playful cuz of the short chainstays (17 inch). Jumps and drops are stable and really fun, very poppable! Literally the best riding bike I have ever been on!

I haven't ridden an Enduro 29er, but this thing rides like the reviews of the enduro, but crazy good climbing...

Nice ride! Maybe list your size for reference? That bike makes the 29" wheel look small.

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked how it turned out...Sherwood and Teresa are absolutely fantastic to work with. Sherwood talked to me directly to get all my preferences down, and he really delivered!

I'm 7 ft and 260 lbs...had a 2007 El Cap that I loved but wanted the new geometry...they give a 30 pct discount on frame trade-in. I had a 25.4 inch seat tube and 26 inch top tube on the El Cap, but as I have started riding more aggressively, I found myself wanting to be able to drop the seat lower, and I think 24 inches is the right compromise.

I have a steel custom DH bike from Bicycle Fabrications (really fun ride as well) with a 27.5 top tube, and that felt a lot better than 26. Almost feels like I could run a straight up stem like the Mondraker bikes if I wanted to...
