    Clyde + American Classic Hubs = ?

Any clydes in the 240 lb range running American Classic hubs? I just had a wheel set build up with a pair around Stans Arch EX rims, and I am wondering if I am stupid/insane for trying to ride light weight hubs. I had mutliple techs at the shop assure me that all was well ( a 215 lber claims to ride / race them with no problems).

    -Ryan, 240 lbs and shrinking...

Recommended by the shop. Mistake on their part... They made some poor assumptions about my riding style. They had to rebuild the 3 times before the spokes would stop coming loose. I asked about flows and they assured that the arch ex would be fine. They had to add brass washers at the rear hub to get them stiff enough.

Sounds like its time to find a new place to build your wheels?

Look around on here a littl. Flow EX w/ Hope/Hadley/Chris King/I9 is the way to go. Gotta have a good wheel builder too.

I'm riding WTB Laser Lite hubs (same design as AC) and they have held up with a 1 x 10 drivetrain and my 225lbs over the past year.
