Broke my stumpjumper twice. What next.

I've been putting about 1500miles per year on my 2011 Stumpy FSR. I've cracked the rear triangle twice. Since Specialized doesn't consider the rear triangle to be part of the frame I get to pay for this. I'm deciding its probably time to upgrade. I think the problem is is that trail bikes are just a little too lightly built. So I'm looking for an All mountain 29er. Preferably one with a really good warranty.

I met a guy who made me feel small (I'm 6'6" 240) at the local XC races who ran into the same issues (but he broke a lot more) and he got a Pivot Mach 5.7 and hasn't broken anything since.

Depending what fork is on your SJ, you might be able to just get the frame and swap everything else over. You could even try to find the frame used and your out of pocket wouldn't be much at all once you sold the SJ frame.

250#. I know that's not huge, but apparently its more than a SJ can handle. The budget is as little as possible but I'm resigned to the idea that anything that meets spec is going be $3-4k.

I'm interested in the SB95 but its rare enough you here few reports.

    I'll check out the Pivot.

Niner WFO or maybe the Lenz Lunchbox or Behemoth.
BTW, I'm 6'5", around 260. I broke the rear triangle on my original 2008 Army Green FSR Stumpjumper. While removing the broken chainstay, I found a crack on the main triangle. Specialized ended up waranteeing the frame with a silver 09.
Been riding that one ever since and have not broken it, to my surprise.
    I like turtles

I had a similar dilemna a year or so ago. After 7 years I broke the shock stay, replaced under warranty. Well, 3 months later I broke it again. I took that as a sign (or excuse) to pick up a Niner RIP 9! The RIP 9 is definitely all that. I'm 6'4", ~225. The first month or so I had the bike I was unsure, as the handling and ride is much different than the SJ. Well, fast forward a year and half later, I haven't ridden the SJ once!

Well not high on the bling factor, but the Trek Remedy 8 29 fits your budget. Trek is lifetime on main frame and five years on swingarms.
