One of my buddies isnt a clyde but has done full-on downhill racing on a Bottlerocket.

This same friend has bent XT pedal axles, stripped pedal threads from XT cranks, and done a host of damage to every other component he put on the bike but the frame held up.

If you're tall you may have issues getting good seatpost extension since it's a slopestyle frame and not really meant for uphill pedalling.

Thanks for the info. Good thing I'm a short clyde. 5'7" currently around 235 zero fat, just built like a fireplug. I'm really digging the bottle rocket more every day & it will be nice to have two bikes.
